Bouton Rouge started in November 2004 as an entertaining rock/blues/jazz band playing in bars and animating private parties. Quickly the holy mission of Bouton Rouge got defined and members found their "raison d'être": song writing and composing. This happened when co-founding member Bassel joined efforts with the other co-founding member Rony to start writing, composing, recording and producing their own songs.

In 2005, new blood incarnated in drummer Ramsey and bassist Nohad joined the adventure believing in the potential of Bouton Rouge.

In late 2005 - early 2006, 11 songs were ready to be recorded, Bouton Rouge recorded the album "Plein de Trous" in a record number of 5 sessions in about 6 months.

January 2006 - After hundreds of gigs in bars, Bouton Rouge decided to stop playing covers and to stop playing in bars. Focus was on playing original music only in theatres. Four concerts were given: Zico House, Unesco Palace, St-Nicholas Stairs, Roman Bath Theatre.

August 2006 - The CD release, two other concerts in the French Cultural Center and the Carignan Theatre, two TV appearances, a one hour radio interview and other events were scheduled for August 2006. The war in Lebanon in summer 2006 prevented these events from happening and separated geographically the members.

Until the next reunion Bouton Rouge is now still writing and composing... more to come.
